Anglo-Turkish owners Liz and Ersin Bilen
have lived in Bozcaada with their family for nine years. Theirs is a tale of two love stories...

Hibiscus in the beautiful island BozcaadaSummer love it was indeed when they met on holiday twelve years ago but a short-lived holiday romance it most certainly was not.  Not long after they were married they discovered Bozcaada for the first time and so saw the beginning of a new love affair.  They were so taken by the beauty and tranquility of the island that they decided to buy a house and make Bozcaada their permanent home.

After several years of hard work their old Greek town house ALIKI Konukevi has been lovingly restored.

Liz, from England, worked in art book publishing in London for many years but gave it all up when she moved to Turkey eleven years ago to be with her husband.  She has recently started teaching English at the local Primary School.

They have two children.  Their son Ervin works in tourism and their daughter Alice, who is nine years old, attends the local Primary School.

It was always their dream to create a special house in a special place and they have been very fortunate in realizing both.
